We’ve made it our mission to turn the narrative around by designing the most tantalising, flavour-packed meals for delivery, so that they arrive at your door just as perfectly as they left our kitchens.

How do we do this, you ask?

We pick the right produce

There’s little as satisfying as having the perfect crunch to your salad or the right amount of bite in well-cooked greens. It’s for this reason that we use kale and broccoli as mainstays in our meals. The sturdy vegetables preserve their taste and texture far longer than other leafy greens, and pair well with a variety of dressings and sauces. You’ll find them featured in several of our all-time favourites, including the Power-Up Chicken Salad tossed with fusilli, lemon citrus drizzle, and farm fresh chicken.

Beyond the greens, we take extra care to source for the right composition of nuts, grains, and pulses. In our Sweet ’N’ Smoky Barbecued Chicken, juicy chicken thigh is paired with cajun-spiced brown rice, roasted vegetables and a piquant pico de gallo to produce a rich profusion of flavour. Chopped pistachios make for the ideal topper, adding a subtly sweet crunch that complements the tangy salsa.

We do our research

Our R&D process is, in a word, intensive. Knowing that rice and meat dry out quickly when left exposed, we make sure to cover our grains with cooked vegetables to help them retain their moisture. Our Basil Thunder Tea Rice comes with bountiful servings of braised cabbage, mushrooms, long beans, and celery — and underneath it all, a bed of soft, fluffy and fragrant brown rice.

For our meats, we’ve developed a range of sauces that provide the perfect accompaniment, and these sauces double up as a protective layer to keep the meat tender. Don’t believe us? Just have a taste of our Flame Torched Sanchoku Beef Steak, made of a rare cut dressed in savoury brown jus, with sides of earthy French mushroom fricassée, sautéed asparagus spears, and roasted potatoes.

As one of the final stages in our R&D process, we make sure to leave the dish out for 2 hours to test for moisture and flavour retention. Once the dishes pass muster, we send them to industry partners and experts to gather feedback before refining our recipes to perfection.

We go the extra mile

It’s the little things that make all the difference, and we’re mindful of this fact at Grain. Certain ingredients require extra prep to preserve their taste and consistency, and we ensure they are packed separately to give you the best meal experience possible. Our aromatic Truffled-up Capellini Al Funghi comes with puffed buckwheat that’s packed in its own container, maintaining that addictive crisp and crunch in every bite, while five different varieties of mushrooms are combined with thyme, cream and balsamic vinegar to coat every strand of angel hair pasta with maximum flavour.

In our kids’ favourite Mighty Mac ’n’ Cheese, cornflakes (yes, cornflakes!) are also served separately. It’s a guarantee that your little ones will be happily (and loudly) munching their way through the delightful dish.
